Change to the course in 2016

In April we were informed by UDOT that a major construction project from Garden City south to the Rest Area by Rendezvous Beach State Park, would require us to change both our traditional start and finish location.  Additionally because complete laps around Bear Lake during the construction were not allowed, we were limited to a single lap only.  However, after working with different race clubs and advisors, we have been able to re-route the course and have two exciting finishes that we hope will appeal to all racers and riders alike.

UCA Points Race.  All Race Categories will have a 47.5 mile course that will start at Rendezvous Beach State Park (South-end), and proceed counter-clockwise around the lake, and finish with a challenging, but beautiful climb to the Bear Lake Summit overlook.  In addition, a Mens and Womens OPEN CATEGORY will also be provided with a 43.5 mile route that starts in the same location, but ends on a flat surface in Garden City.  We will prize all categories.

Recreation Riders.  You will start slightly later than the racers, and follow the same course, starting at Rendezvous Beach State Park.  You will have the option of a climb or flat finish. Rider Support will be placed at North Beach (hydro, snacks, quick-grab items), the Summit Overlook, and at the flat finish.

Blue Water Beach will continue to be our Base-Camp and will host packet-pick up, day-of registration, camping and room rental, parking, showers and our post-ride meal.  We encourage all riders to check-in and park at Blue Water and then warm up with a gentile ride to the start line at Rendezvous Beach.  Route maps will be provided, see below.
