NOTE: Due to a major road construction project, the 100 mile race and century routes will not be available this year. However we have changed the course to include the option of a traditional flat sprint finish as well as a new summit-climb finish.

2-DAY CYCLING EVENT
FRIDAY NIGHT, MAY 13TH CLASSIC HILL CLIMB: Our Friday Night Hill climb will take the same route as before, but with a slight addition. In 2015, The Tour of Utah selected Logan and the Bear Lake area as the 1st stage of the Tour of Utah, and pro raced the same 56 miles of the course you will ride, and the Bear Lake Classic hill climb is the same they rode to near the summit, but with the ending at approx. 3.5 miles (at the Rocky Point turnout). As in 2015, we have arranged to have a special rider dinner, with discounted food items, and hill climb awards ceremony at Cafe Sabor on Friday night.
SATURDAY, MAY 14TH. ROAD RACE AND HALF-CENTURY. The Bear Lake Classic is a 48 and 43.5 UCA Points Race. The two support stations for both racers and riders will be located at North Beach (25 miles) and at the Bear Lake Summit and in Garden City. As in the past, Blue Water Beach will be our base-station and will house our packet pick-up and day-of registration, a hydration before the event, as well as the awards presentation and free rider lunch after the race or ride.
Because of the construction in front of Blue Water Beach and Sweetwater Resort, both the traditional Start and Finish will be moved. The Start will be at Rendezvous Beach (South-end of lake). Riders are encouraged to park at Blue Water and warm up with a gentle ride to the new start line. (sorry for the inconvenience)
We have also permitted a new finish for our racers, a summit-climb finish, as well as a flat sprint finish open category for both men and women racers. Our recreational riders will have the option to finish their fun ride on either a climb or a flat finish in Garden City. On Saturday immediately after the ride, Justin Hamilton and Cafe Sabor will cater a special Burgers and Brats lunch for all riders, and family/friends can join for only $5 each. ALL RIDERS receive the lunch FREE as our gift to our registered riders.
* NOTE: We will award the UCA race categories EARLY so our racers are able to get their prizes without waiting for all recreation riders to return.
